The project.
The client operates the Pellworm Spa and Health Centre and PelleWelle recreational swimming pool via the tourism management organisation Kur- und Tourismusservice Pellworm. It wants to bring both facilities up to date and, to this end, set up the project "Gesundheitshof". Large scale in nature, this project envisages a range of new buildings on the existing premises and on other plots of land located on the opposite side of the street. The project considerations include incorporating the area’s tourism service office and medical care centre (both currently housed in two nearby buildings), as well as a newly built hotel and apartments for senior citizens, into the new complex. Our objective in this regard was firstly to critically evaluate the "Gesundheitshof" project by means of a market analysis, profitability calculations and a follow-up cost analysis.

Based on our findings, we were to then to compile a feasibility study for the corresponding funding application. Working together with our project partners, the facility managers, politicians and the local population, we put forward a proposal that recommended significantly reducing the volume of construction. PelleWelle 2.0 (working title): An oasis of happiness. Adventure. Wellbeing. Relaxation. An exceptional, all-encompassing recreational experience. For all generations. Multigenerational holidays 4.0. Taking into account Pellworm’s long history as a seaside spa as well as the area’s existing structures, we envisage a recreational complex on the island that celebrates health as an experience. For a comprehensive sense of wellbeing. Offering top-quality stays. With a special focus on children. And young people. Edutainment. Meditainment. Health experienced through play. Health is happiness. Health is fun.
