Hotel Linde

The project.
Boasting a unique location in the centre of Bodman on Lake Constance, the former Linde park with its Hotel Linde were to undergo redesign and refurbishment in keeping with Bodman's 800-year history. The new design plans envisaged a village complex comprising three rows of houses, each designed according to a specific architectural role model. Hotel Linde, located on the original premises on the banks of Lake Constance, was to form the core of the new park. The ground-breaking ceremony for this unique project took place in October 2015, with work to revamp the hotel formerly known as “Gasthof zur Linde” commencing immediately thereafter. The refurbishment work saw the hotel’s plaster facade with stone base, its hipped roof laid

with plain tiles, its white lacquered wooden lattice windows and its shutters all restored and returned to their original colours. Our operating concept recommended that the hotel be positioned as a boutique hotel with its own character; that an emphasis be consistently placed on authenticity and on the natural landscapes and scope for outdoor activities offered by Bodman and its surroundings.
